Writing this article in May with the fact in mind that the festival took place in March (better late than never..at least they say haha)

Since I live in Ireland I’ve been of course interested in attending to world known St.Patrick’s FestivalParade. Unfortunately last year I had to stay in bed with fever, but there was no doubt that parade in 2017 can’t be missed!

As a passionate photographer I wanted to get as close as possible so I did my research and stumble across website of the festival with option for press, news and freelancers as well to apply for accreditation at www.stpatricksfestival.ie

To my surprise the festival response was positive and I’ve got my Media Pass accreditation as a freelancer with limited access — Happy days! 🙂

March 17th 2017

The day of the parade has come and I had to wake up early to gear up, check if batteries are fully charged and leave for town. At 9am a press conference took place at The Gresham Hotel where I collected my media pass, people were excited, chatting around and drinking coffee. CEO of the festival Susan Kirby spoke about this year’s festival and introduced us the Grand Marshal of 2017 parade, Irish sailor and Olympic silver medallist Annalise Murphy (27), from Dublin.

Long story short, the festival was amazing and exceeded my expectations, the weather was decent and it wasn’t rainy during the parade (only few minutes after the parade finished haha).

The rest you can see from my photoreport of the parade itself. Enjoy! 🙂
